The Moth Priests are a monastic fellowship devoted to the preservation of knowledge, the disciplined pursuit of wisdom, and service offered without vanity. Those who enter our halls are not expected to know every custom at once. They are expected only to listen, learn, and conduct themselves with care.

The Rule in Brief

Life Within the Order

Treat members, guests, and the people of Skyrim with dignity.
Preserve knowledge; do not hoard, falsify, or destroy it.
Use force with discipline and only in defense of life, learning, or sworn duty.
Respect the offices of the Order while remaining answerable to the Rule.
If conflict arises, seek quiet counsel before public accusation.

The Manner of Prayer

Observing the Hours

At each Divine Hour, members pause where their duties permit and offer the prayer appointed to the Divine then observed. Group prayer may be spoken by a reader with the gathered Order giving the written responses.

No member is required to remain awake for every Hour. A missed observance bears no debt. The Turning ensures that every waking schedule meets all Eight in time.
